That was absolutely beautiful. There are not too many songs that can make me cry but, that one always touched a place in my heart. How many can remember, back in the 70′s when that song first was played, listening spellbound @ Todd Rundgren’s music………
Mark? I have seen and listened to a lot of great performances from you yet, this one tops them.
XXX NOVALEAH
Theres more from this show on Youtube Nova .. and but I DO agree he does sound amazing with this song :) !!! And he was also thrilled to be playing with Toots Theilmans who s played with pretty much anyone !!! And i also know Mark s a huge fan of Todd Rundgren s music too … well who could blame him the man’s a genious!!
It’s always great to see these vids esp for myself who s missed alot of their live shows over the years in Canada …
i have always loved this song…he sings it with passion…he causes you to feel something.
Hi Cori……Yes, I’ve seen the live version as well of “Bitter Moon,” from that same show.
I’ll peek & see if there are any others.
XXX NOVELEAH
P.S.
Just went back and had a peek and was surprised to
see him play what I think is a Fender bass.
Good guitars those too.
Hi Guys it is a Fender Jazz Deluxe bass wich Mark doesn’t play or Fender doesn’t make anymore.
Mark really didn’t like the weight impracticality of it and as sson as his hands left the bass the headstock would head for the floor.
Good news though as we speak i’m uploadig Sunshine of you Love the superb Cream track from the same show.
ah our Toots Thielemans, a legend around here.
Not sure if Mark new him before the show.
I also had the plesure to meet Toots
