Gould, Brown & Black – Terraforming

Feb 16th, 2009 sees the release of ‘Terraforming’, the highly anticipated debut album from Level 42 founder member Phil Gould’s latest project, Gould, Brown & Black, entitled ‘Terraforming’. The album showcases Gould’s exceptional craft both in terms of musicianship and songwriting; an essential ingredient which helped his former band sell out arenas worldwide, collecting countless platinum discs along the way. Fans of Level 42 will not be disappointed and the album has an understated cool akin to that of contemporary acts such as Zero 7 and 4hero. Gould is ably assisted by Level 42′s Mike Lindup, who provides vocals on standout tracks ‘Astral Vampires’ and ‘Terraforming’. The beautiful and talented Berenice Scott – daughter of M’s (Pop Muzik) Robin Scott – provides dreamy lead vocals on a number of tracks including the blissful ‘Cremola Foam’. The album was recorded by Phil Gould, Neil black and Rupert Brown.

‘Terraforming’ is available from iTunes from 16th February 2009.

Fantastic. I enjoyed what I heard on his MySpace and I’ve respected him as a drummer, writer and now all round musician since I was just a little boy over 20yrs ago.
I’m going to get this as soon as I can.

Its a fanatastic album !!! 3 tracks with vocals featuring the talents of Berenice Scott and Yolanda Charles (along with her fantastic bass playing in this album I may add!!!) the rest are instrumentals .. you can definitely hear Phil’s superb drumming on this album !! I think I’ve driven the family insane with it already hehe!! But even before the release date of the Hard Copy it is already available on Itunes under ‘Gould, Brown & Black’ for your listening enjoyment !!! :D

ps .. the forum on phil’s new website is up and running already at
