My goodness Mark, you are gonna be racing around like a mad thing…isn’t it the Retrofest in Glasgow the next day? You’ll be glad to get home after all that! Take it easy (if you can)…best to you and the guys as always!
Take care…Marie xx
Presumably the Retrofest is still happening and L42 are playing on Sunday night? If not can someone please say so and save us the 800+ mile round trip there and back (though theres zero chance of getting any refund on the tickets)
I’d much rather have gone to Germany ……
Mark hope you enjoy Germany and Scotland :)
Will be seeing you again next year … can you post the tour dates as soon as possible … i have travel plans to make after all ROFL ;) !!!
Hugs Cori in Canada xxx
retrofest is still on,i`m also going on the sunday night….cant wait
Luck you Jazza…wish I had a ticket…but I’m too skint. I still think the 250 mile round trip from where I am, is damn well worth it just to hear them in the distance…in my humble opinion. ;)
Thanks for adding that last sentence – I’m wondering now if I can manage to get to both….
x
Sadly I cant go to either (unless the band need a roadie??) I have the whole weekend off work but no funds :( Hope you all have an amazing time and yes please Mark can you reveal the 2010 tour dates ASAP.
Love to you and the guys

Mark, this calls for a free gig in my front room. Julie and everyone can come then and I’ll make as many cups of tea and coffee as needed…even lay on a nice wee buffet. Now you can’t say no to that…better than getting paid loadsa money for a gig in a cold, draughty park in Glasgow. ;) :D
Marie I would bake a special cake and bring it with me, my speciality one is Baileys, but can also do Choc, Coffee or Lemon, Fruit or good old Jam – I could make everyone if necessary!!!
:) :*
Oh that’s it then! Right Mark, look up your diary and make arrangements…Julie’s making her speciality cake so you just can’t say no now! We can even give the gig one of those fancy trumped up names like ‘T in the park’ but we can call it ‘Level in the livingroom’! HA! Beat that! ;)
hey a would be willing to stump up 2 spare tickets for free,if it would put a smile on a few l42 buddies!!!!
You have spare tickets Jazza? Free? For L42 at Retrofest? Those tickets are not cheap. :O
PS…I’m still ‘Bonnie1′…just starting to use my real name…I had silly handles when there’s no need. Just so as not to confuse.
If those tickets are going spare like you say and you can’t sell ‘em, I’m sure Julie and I would be very interested…you could contact me through my MySpace…although I think you have to be a member. Facebook? Same applies there I think. :/
Okay, I get the feeling someone is pulling my leg here. No worries…yes very funny hehehe!
Never mind…I can wait til next October. :P
I think your right Marie looks like he’s having a good laugh .. well i frankly don’t find it very funny , there’s many fans that want to see the band have been waiting over 20 years to do so .. don’t taunt people like that because in the end if your the only one laughing that’s pretty sad indeed!!
Marie you know it I’ll be there too :D !!!
It’s okay Cori *hugs*…I don’t think Jazza was being nasty or anything. I think he just made a simple comment which I misunderstood so it’s my fault really. Oops! My apologies! Silly me!
Yes we will be at the gigs next year and I’m looking forward to it as well as meeting you and lots of other L42 fans I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past year or two…it’s been a pure blast! Some great people and I have made some excellent friends.
PS…To everyone…I assumed the Retrofest was being held IN Glasgow…but now I have noticed it’s Ayrshire which is about 30 miles or so from Glasgow. Even further for me to travel for a listen. Pity I don’t still live in my last place as it was only a few miles from Galston (Ayrshire).
hey sorry,i wasnt trying to have a laugh, the tickets were there,!!sorry..
Don’t be sorry Jazza…no need…it’s just I wasn’t sure if you were just making a comment or actually offering free tickets. It’s a very kind thing to do, but there’s no way of getting them to us.
Julie is in the process of trying to find a way to get up to my house next weekend and if she can we will both be there. I’ve even arranged with a mate to give us a lift from the Borders to Ayrshire. Just hope Julie can come.
I’m amazed at the kindness of L42 fans…they are truly the BEST! ;)
Most L42 fans are nice, but I couldnt eat a whole one. I too will have to wait till next year as I have just come back from Egypt, blown all my money, and they have never heard of L42!!
Hi Marie.;)
Hey there Githead…hows things? Good I hope. Egypt, eh? Wow! Very nice. It’s okay for some. :D
Although saying that, I had a great holiday on the Isle of Wight earlier this summer, so I’m happy. Okay it’s not on the scale of Egypt, but I absolutely loved it. First time there but not the last. ;)
Okay, Julie can’t make it.
Only thing for it is ‘Level in the Livingroom’. All those who can’t make it to the weekend gigs can come to this gig…hahaha. :D
It would have been really really nice to have seen the guys at the weekend, as well as all the other fantastic bands on that day, but some things can’t be helped. :(
Maybe another time…
Hey Marie just tried to add you as friend on Myspace, but I cant. Cool Mike Lindup vid though!
Githead…erm…I dunno why you can’t add me…that’s very strange. I’ll take a look at my settings. Been wondering why no one’s been adding me. Try again tomorrow :)
I’m so gutted that I’m not allowed to go to Scotland cos I’d go anywhere to be with you……………but I have to be a good girl at stay at home this time – so so sorry to let people down. To make it better I’m gonna have a Levelfest of my own all day Sunday just to get a bit of my own back!!! x x
Oh Julie…you’re not letting me or anyone else down. *hugs* I told you that, silly! As I said, some things can’t be helped and I understand. There will be other times. Now please cheer up and think of the gigs next year. They are going to be special for sure I feel. Look forward not back…ALWAYS! xx
Hi Julie, hi Marie – calling from Hamburg …. just wanna let you know that some people e.g. me are feeling like you both at the time!!! I wish I could go to Mainz this weekend or even to London in Oct. but it’s not working out this time, so I probably have to join your party – hahaha… at least I have seen the guys last year in Croydon and also this year in Kiel, so I cannot really complain.
Love from Imke
Hi there Imke, yeah you are welcome to join our little party. I was thinking, maybe we should find a field somewhere, get a generator, a few loud speakers and a CD player and have a Levelfest. We could invite all true levelheads and all we would play all night would be L42 songs…everyone dancing and singing along. Not as good as the real thing obviously, but wouldn’t it be a real blast? :D
Yeah Imke, I saw the guys last October in Newcastle, UK and it was brilliant. Feels like years since I last went to a gig. I can’t wait for next year. It could never come soon enough.
oops didnt mean to over react here.. aww its a shame you two cannot go to Retrofest … well i think i m gonna have me own levelfest …in my livingroom with the headphones on or my family would scream ( they just dont appreciate good music sniff sniff!! )
years ppft!! its been over 20 for this lady accross the pond .. when they were ‘leaving me now’ at that time i never thought i was going to be ‘forever now’ !!! :(
Unfortunately Mainz was a little bit to far for me. But blessedly it was possible for me to heard some live songs from yesterday via the radio station SWR1. It’s rembered me on the concerts this year in Heerlen and Knokke. Cool!!!
Now I’m waiting for your tour dates 2010 – so reveal them asap.
thx
since many years i attended a l42-gig, Yaeh. my girlfriend and me were lucky to be just in front of the stage, just a few meters away from mark, mike and the other members of the band.
It was such a great show – but much to short… I liked the playlist, but of course i missed many many songs of my favorites.
The DJ failed, because he played “running in the family” just a few minutes before the show – a no-go in my opinion.
I was surprised that the band didn’t play a single song from the ‘retroglide’-album. I’m dreaming of a live version of the favorite song of my girlfriend, the little untypical but nontheless GREAT L42-Song ‘my father’s shoes”
Thanks a lot to the band, it was great – and it was a nice birthday-party, wasn’t it?
hope to see you soon again
Frieder
See you guys at the Royal Albert Hall in October! Please get your tour dates out for 2010 like asap. Lucy x
