Wahey USA, we are on are way, but not today…………… second half of July to be precise!
I’ll post the dates as soon as they are confirmed, but I can say that we are really looking forward to getting ‘stateside again after way too long!
Re the ‘WB and Friends’ show in Paris next week, I’m afraid I won’t now be able to make the show, but I’m sure it will be a fantastic evening and a great celebration of a unique talent.
More dates to come mates,
Love to all, Mx

Fantastic news for our American friends !, well done to Mark and the boys for getting this one !!……..
OH wow! I stand so corrected and congrats to all those over the pond who obviously made this happen by any means possible. This is really something to be proud of for sure. Just proves it does pay to shout the loudest, eh? ;)
OMG i ll be going to the states it seems .. i am over the moon .. this is fantastic … whatever it took it WORKED !!!!! :)

wow….did heck freeze over? this is wonderful news….i will make plans to attend.
hugs from Idaho
Please, come to Hungary!
I’m absolutely appalled, frankly. A) That you’ve pulled out of Wally’s show with only a week to go and b) You haven’t even offered a reason why you can’t make it. I’ve invested a lot of money and booked time off work for this event – as have a number of friends. Very poor form.
Am I allowed to say this without getting banned?
Disgraceful.
Its so great to see the US fans so happy about this whole thing. Its been long overdue and its great to see the band doing something for the fans.
This is incredible!!! Best news I’ve heard in a long time. Please, Please come to Chicago there’s a bunch of us who would absolutly love to see the band. Cheers and can’t wait to see ya.
i do have to agree with Paul on this .. is sad to hear it but it seems the show Wally was putting together has been totally cancelled … i really hope this is not due to mark pulling out of it… i just have to say it should be a pretty good reason why .. :(
HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who said the show was canceled Corrine?
Y south América ? Argentina?
i read phil s facebook Andre he said it is cancelled
i cannot believe i’ll finally get to see Level 42 live! i cannot wait to find out WHERE and WHEN!
Yes just saw it now thanks – Shame about that
MARK& THE GUYS – FIRST OF MANY ROUNDS ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read this earlier this AM, however, I thought that I was dreaming!!!
Trust me, the US will not let you down!!!
I just wonder where they will play?? This girl is getting her ticket early:) Who said that dreams don’t come true???
“Power to the PEOPLE”!!
YIPPI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah (PLUG) OKLAHOMA CITY or KANSAS CITY!!!!!
AWESOME! Hope you all will put south central PA on your itinerary (Hershey, PA has a nice arena, huge amusement park, CHOCOLATE!, and is within a couple hours of Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City).
<> ???? And that’s it ?? Without any explanation ? I’m so angry. I’ve spent a lot of money and a lot of time to prepare this event. And I won’t have my money back !!!!!!
CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THE SHOW IS REALLY CANCELLED ?? A LINK OR SOMETHING ????
Man, I’ve been waiting for this since 1980something! Atlanta, GA at Chastain Park Amphitheatre is the place to be — or Gwinnett Arena — just get here already!
Mark, Mike, Nathan and Pete THANK YOU!!! We will welcome you to the USA! I saw Mark and Mike with the original line up in 87 supporting Tina Turner. If you come to Florida in July we will keep you safe and dry from the lightning storms! Thanks guys you are amazing for making such a terrific amount of highest quality music for a long while. endurance plus quality yes yes y’all
bethxx
Almost forgot- in response to the last comment by Mark, we love you too! in a respectable way, of course
bethxx
With all this euphoria regarding the band playing the states, everyone seems to have overlooked the fact that Mark King has brought about the collapse of Wally Badarou’s highly anticipated TV show, celebrating his incredible career. Wally Badarou made Mark King and Level 42 what they are. To turn his back on Wally in this manner is disgraceful and tells you everything you need to know about the man. The focus of the show was an appearance by the original Level 42 – Mark was aware of that, yet still chose not to play.
Fantastic news about all the dates for this year – now how can I persuade you guys to come to New Zealand?!?!?!?!?!?
not to worry. everything happens for a reason. it’s going to be just fine. thank you, thank you, thank you for this summer. i will support you guys 100%. have a safe trip and we will see you when you get here.
take care
kelly
Please come to Chile(southamerica)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes!!! :D
PLEASE consider playing Toronto during your summer trek. The last time you played there was 1987 at Maple Leaf Gardens. I’ve never had the chance to see Level 42 live, but have followed you for over 20 years.
The Toronto and Montreal markets will NOT let you down, and are relatively close to New York!
That’s unfortunate that Wally’s show had to be cancelled. I suppose I would be upset as well if I were in your position. However, there must be a valid reason as to why Mark had to pull out. They could’ve not canceled the show and just pushed through with it, since it is all about Wally Badarou’s career anyway. I wouldn’t judge so harshly without knowing the circumstances. If he offers an explanation, then fantastic. I’m sure Wally knows the reason, that’s all that matters. Ultimately, it’s Mark’s business, whatever his reasons may be. If you don’t like Mark, and his character, then why go see him in the first place?
Having said that, apologies go out to those who feels slighted by the cancelation of WB’s show in Paris, if it seemed like our excitement overshadowed what happened. But most of us who are in the US, have not had the privilege of seeing Level 42 live in 20+ years (in my case, I’ve never seen them live EVER), so you can imagine why most of us would be over the moon by this news. Most of Europe (and some parts of Asia) have seen Level 42 live numerous times in recent years, and some fans may have gone to at least more than 2 shows in their lifetime, while we, on the other side of the pond, have never seen them live at all nor haven’t seen them since the ’80s. So, please consider yourselves lucky.
Mark – we cannot wait to see you all here in the US! I’ve loved L42 since I was 8 years old, listening to your songs on the radio in Manila, Philippines. Lost track of you guys for a little bit, then re-discovered my love for you about 10 years ago! I’m in my 30s now and this is a long-time dream that’s about to come true! July can’t come any sooner!
Mark better had have a good reason for pulling out of Wally’s show. If he doesn’t have one and/or doesn’t choose to indicate that he has one, it looks like he’s dumping on an old mate, to say nothing of the fans who’d made plans to go, and it could damage his reputation quite severely. If the show were going ahead, I’m sure his absence would have been made up for by the sight of Phil, Mike and Wally together on stage.
You Yanks are so lucky! I live in Australia and have absolutely no chance of seeing them live again unless I spend thousands of dollars going to Europe or maybe Japan in June. However, being from the UK originally, I have been lucky enough to see Level 42 live on many occasions, including their last concert at the Albert Hall in 1994 so it’s not all bad. Enjoy the shows guys and I’ll look out for another live DVD hopefully this year. In the meantime I’m playing the 1989 Wembley CD to death which I just managed to track down in the US :-)
Mark needs to give no reasons for cancelling his appearance on the show to anyone except Wally and we can only assume that he has done that already. Lets also not forget that in the absence of a direct comment from Mark (as he does post information himself here, like this announcement) there was never any direct comment from him that he was in fact attending this event.
Its a shame for those that did make travel plans granted, but in light on an official confirmation, it was always going to be tentative at best.
As fans, we have no right to assume anything and even less right to expect anything from the band other than the music that we get and the occassional tour.
I find it sad and appalling myself that others are choosing to turn this into a Mark King hating exercise simply because he has pulled out. But then again, it would appear to me that some people simply look for a reason to hate on him anyway and will be angry at him whatever he does. They dont like the albums, the setlists, the pictures of the band on the site and even test fonts that Morgan uses. I mean come on for crying out loud!
Just get used to the fact that we are nothing more than appreciators of the music and thats all we can expect. Mark and the guys will do what they see fit and we have to accept that.
If you dont like, dont go to the shows and for sure dont contribute to a community of people that does enjoy the music. You just look bitter.
This is not a post aimed at those that lost money and i feel for you, but the level of angst and vitriol at Mark is simply disgusting.
Mark – We have been waiting for this tour for so long. Please come to Foxborough, MA. Saw your show in Foxborough in 1987 at Gilette Stadium. Mark had his leg in a cast. It was hot, 88 degrees, and very sticky and humid. The mist just hung over the stadium. And you put on a great show.
It’s time to come back!! Great new venue at Patriot’s Place called Showcase Live. Please try your best to come!!
http://www.showcaselive.com
Hi Mark ….
We are waiting for you in PARIS since 1992
please ….. come.
Fabrice MAYEUR.
French Fan.
THANK YOU THANK YOU!! This is a big deal for all of us U.S. fans. I’ve also never before had the opportunity to see Level 42 live, though I’ve been a fan since the eighties. I bought tickets to one of the shows in Great Britain in October to remedy that, and now I get to see them at least twice this year!
Don’t pay any attention to the negative comments here from one or two people. The rest of us don’t feel the same. Mr. King you are a class act. Some folks are just short sighted and self-centered. We’ve all seen how you treat your fans, and it is above and beyond what most famous music stars do.
SEE YOU STATESIDE SOON!!
You’re right, Mrs P. Mark doesn’t need to give any reasons for cancelling his appearance. However, if he wants to rescue a bit of goodwill from some loyal and very pissed-off fans, he might want to give his reasons, whatever they are. I have no vested interest. I wasn’t going to Paris, and I’m unlikely to go to any of the shows later this year. And I certainly don’t hate Mark. I just think this looks very shabby, and would like very much to be proven wrong.
MK says he “won’t now be able to make the show”. You refer to him “cancelling” his appearance. These both suggest that he intended to make the show, and that the billing and information were correct. It’s not an unreasonable expectation for a performer to make an appearance where they have been billed to make one.
Mark? Looks like you’re on the spot now mate.
I never booked up for the Paris gig due to having no passport but if I had, I would have gone all out to go…and in the process lost hundreds of pounds like quite a few others.
I have a good idea what happened, but looks like only YOU could give those guys the answer they need and I’d say…deserve? A lot of people went out of their way for this.
I may not have lost any money…but I think I would have much rather lost money…than some respect for Mark. :(
I’m gutted for Wally.
On Wally’s siteand here it says that he WILL get Mark et al for the show not that he HAS got Mark et al for the show. Therefore there is nothing to assume that this has been officially confirmed as i mentioned before.
I was simply pointing out that if Mark felt the need to cancel an appearance (if in fact he had confirmed it and we dont know for sure) then it is up to him if he wants to explain why.
Personally i think this is gettig blown up out of proportion by some people with a seperate agenda quite honestly. Sounds like a personal grudge to me and nothing more.
Its so sad when its really just about the music.
Mrs P – You know I bear no grudges with regard to the band or anyone associated with it. However, this is all leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. The get-out that Wally said only he would get Mark doesn’t apply, as both Mark and you refer to the appearance in a way that makes it clear that it was on the cards. If he wasn’t ever going to appear, he couldn’t cancel the appearance. “Won’t now make” is not “wouldn’t ever have made”. As for it being about the music, that’s why people were so keen to go to Paris. To see and hear several people who mean a lot to them making music together.
Granted but thats no excuse for the name calling that has taken place now is it? There is such a thing as basic manners and politeness and this once again is going way over the top of normal rational behaviour.
I wasn’t any part of the name-calling, and so I assume that your “going way over the top” comment does not apply to me. So, we would appear to agree that the basic facts are these:
- Mark had agreed to appear
- Mark was billed
- Mark pulled out.
Sorry if my english is not perfect…common we don’t “hate” Mark…he may have some good reason for not being able to come to that show, ok… But I find the way it has been said a little rude. We have been waiting a show in France for so long and we have the right to be disappointed.
disappointed is okay…it’s fine…just please everyone, try to be kind and respectful.
OH MY GOD! MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED! Lookin forward to seeing you guys again after many many years!
I can hardly wait!!
Hey Shirley – not saying you hate Mark dont worry. There are others that are doing more than a good enough job of that.
Louis – i sent you a DM on Facebook which i dont know if you’ve seen. I never called you a name caller either. I wont agree that Mark agreed to be on the show. I simply say that he has said he will not be able to make it. He has not confirmed if he was showing up or not. He simply said that he would not be able to make it. That says to me that he may not even have confirmed it at all. We simply dont know is that only true confirmed fact here.
Kelly – well said and i 100% agre with you!
thanks Mrs. P. opinions are great…as long as we can conduct ourselves with integrity and respectfulness….life will be grand.
these artists that we LOVE soooo much, have a lot to deal with personally and professionally. let’s back off and let them live their lives and do their jobs.
I’m so excited!I couldn’t go when you guys opened for Madonna at Soldier Field in 1987 because I was too young. Please come to Minneapolis! That’s where I live now!
Once again – well said Kelly. Lets leave them alone to do what they do best – make music!
”There is such a thing as basic manners and politeness and this once again is going way over the top of normal rational behaviour.”
No offence Mrs P, but you distinguishing between what IS and ISN’T ‘normal rational behaviour’ is about as relevant as Michael Barrymore discussing the importance of swimming lessons.
What? “I won´t be able to make the show”.
Pathetic, planning a US tour but for some “unknown” reason unable to make a show in Paris?
A hell of a tour manager you must have Mr King.
Anyway, without Wally Badarou and the Gould brothers the is NO Level42.
Making music is part of being a musician. Another part is honouring commitments that you have given to make that music at a particular time and place. Once you get a reputation for being unreliable, nobody wants to know you. That’s the last I’ll say here on the matter.
Olly, dont preach to me about normal rational behaviour when you made the comments you did over the other forum yesterday. There was a reason your thoughtless comment was removed. Go and think about that and come back when you can be polite to people.
You have proven my point with your comments once again. You guys really are showing your true colours this time. No pun intended.
Now that Wally has made it clear it was NOT down to Mark King, those responsible for their offensive and hateful comments towards Mark King should apologise publicly.
Now this is all getting blown out of proportion and once again the rumour mill has been fueled by Mr Phil Gould. I granted him with a bit more savvy than that, but then again maybe he’s using it to his FULL advantage here. A stroke of true genius, wouldn’t you say?!!!
Let Phil do the shepherding of the sheep for a change. He obviously needs the job more…bless him.
And…moderators DELETE!!! Hehehe! :P
Maybe the moderators could change that howling ‘are’ for ‘our’ in the original post.
Hey ‘davedownunder’!
Good to know there are some Aussies into Level 42… I’m not alone, thank god!
Missed them both times they played Jakarta (closest they’ve been to Oz, I understand) but I holidayed on the IOW a few years ago and had lunch at Joe Dafloes. No MK meeting I’m sorry to say but he did send me a birthday card a few years ago. Bloody nice of him.
I first saw ‘em on Countdown in ’84. Long time ago. Good to see they’re still hammering in ’10!
PS and FYI Tower of Power are playing the Basement in late April. Cheers!
Thank you , thank you for coming to the US. This is a dream come true. I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes and butterflies in my stomach. I can’t wait.
my heart is beating out of my chest i just can’t slow it down, for my dream of dreams is coming true, 42 is coming to town. thanks mark you’re the best.
Aw.
Mark, what some people here are saying about you isn’t very nice. I’m sorry that you have to read things like that on your own official fan site. Where is the love???? Meanwhile…
THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THE U.S. TO TOUR! I’m going to buy an assload of tickets and have my parents and my friends all come to see you and the boys perform! Yeahhhhh baby… 2010 is looking sharp, looking mighty sharp.
Wow, what a great surprise for all the USA fans this to become reality… Great on Mark and the team!!!
@Lisa 14 March 2010 at 11:32;
Post is still there.
I’m thrilled you’re making the trip over! I’d love to see you in the Los Angeles area, but will travel to see you wherever you’re performing. God bless you in your travels.
i for one am going to be thrilled to see Mike and Mark play again… even when i saw them it was no longer the original lineup .. Boon had left … many bands such as the Mahavishnu Orchestra have seen a change of hands from original lineup .. where is this any different ? Yes the original was amazing . but Mark chose not to let Level 42 go to its grave .. I for one am very pleased he has not done so. The main gist of this announcement was that Mark was bringing todays lineup to North America finally .. and i am very pleased to see this :)
@ Robbie Well more fool Phil Gould for doing what he did then and leaving it there.
THANK YOU LEVEL 42!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO excited and will be there no matter where or when!!!!!! I can still remember when you came to Dallas and played at the West End. Best show ever!!! (How about coming back to Dallas/FtWorth? ;) No matter where though, I’M THERE!!!!……
OK, I’m not having this.
Firstly – don’t make judgments about things when you don’t possess the facts.
Secondly – don’t question MK’s commitment to his fan base. Those of us who have followed the band since the early days know that a more gracious, generous and hard working artist you will not find.
Chris.
Pretty cool for our American buddies, in fact i’m well pleased for you dear peeps!!!!
Has for the Wally thing, none of our Bloody Biz me thinks.
Love x
So what are we thinking, Theme parks or County Fairs?
Well said Kevin! Adz – You oferring your yard again ;-)
hmm why a yard when i could find a farmers field in Canada .. they do that here once a year for country music fans lol !!!! all kidding aside . Dear Mark I hope you announce the dates ..( including Toronto LOL ) asap … i got my credit card ready to go LOL!!!!
bravo…that’s right!!!! Corrine and I will be side by side cheering you all on….so looking forward to your presence.
Morning all
taking into account the previous posts – wouldn’t it be nice for MK to make a statement about this… horses mouth an all that :)
Fitzy :)
To quote a little song by Little Peggy March (with a little lyrical change)
I will follow Them, follow Them wherever They may go,
And near Them, I always will be,
For nothing can keep me away, They are my destiny to see live in concert!
WOW! Level 42 returns to The States after over 20 years!
THANK YOU Mark, Mike, Nathan, Sean and Pete – looking forward to seeing you guys in July.
PLEASE consider doing a show in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco / Oakland / San Jose, California) – I would be bringing at least TWENTY people with me (as well as the other American Digesters that will probably be going to EVERY U.S. show), and plus I’d promote the hell out of a Bay Area show (local radio stations, Facebook, other website forums, etc.)… :-)
- Jason :-)
I am going to have about 15-10 people per gig it looks like. How about the cities of Kansas City (BBQ, Jazz Scene, and close to me and Heather and a few others LOL) and Austin, TX (Austin City Limits – for US TV coverage and DVD release).
OH yeah Jason, great point, I will be promoting it everywhere I can as well too!
Great news for American people, you have done several surprises to your fans around the world, American, Japanese. Why don’t you do a little surprise also to Brazil. Level 42 – Mark what do you think of the level 42 come and play here. Good idea isn’t it?
Sorry my English.
Hope the band is in Florida in August, as I will be there too!!
Got me tickets for this years Indigo2!!
Hey there band people! With regards to July’s U.S. appearance – Who is your promoter? Are you still looking for venues? As you know, planning and logistics is everything. Getting this information out EARLY will help us plan our air travel and lodging. Thanks
P.S. I read MIKEY42′s suggestion (March 16) in this blog for the Austin City Limits gig. That venue hold the potential of broadcast on our national public television. What a treasure THAT would be….. May he (we) suggest your promoter look into that possibility? The story of Level 42 would be perfect for ACL!
Are you guy’s comming to Canada as well? A great venue to play in Nova Scotia is the Halifax Metro Center. Although it is quite big considering most places that Level 42 play are around 2000 seats. the Halifax Metro Center holds around 10 000.
If I can’t see you when you come over in July, I still have my tickets for the Indigo2, and Southend in October.
West Coast! West Coast!! please…
Mike you have to come also.
Hoping that you can make a Vancouver stop! There is a huge following in Canada! My wife asked me if I could have one wish, what would it be? TO SEE LEVEL 42 live again! Anywhere in the west coast will do though! Very excited to hear as I have not seen them since 1986 in Edmonton!
Cheers!
My fav band of all time…I am looking so forward to seeing you come to Canada/US….
Merci, merci, merci merci, mille fois merci !!!!!!!!!!!
Just North of America, is a little place called Canada. It may have cold winters, but all L42 fans can warm up any venue, spécialement si vous venez nous voir au Québec! Thank you Mark and everyone at The Agency for this terrific news. No matter where you will be performing in North America, I will be there. Philippe.
L42 ‘stateside. Life is good. Please, please, please (my best JB) come down south. In fact there is a fantastic 2000 seat venue here in my hometown of Mobile, AL. (the home of JB drummer Jabo Starks) with an awesome JBL Vertec sound system that rocks(www.mobilesaenger.com). And it’s too bad you’re not in the states earlier in the year for the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Maybe next year beacuse once you get back to the US you’ll return every year. I’m sure of it. The fans love you that much here.
See ya soon.
Peace.
And yes, Mike, you must come.
Please come back to Philly! Saw U guys at the Chesnut Caberet the last time you were in Philly…over 20 years ago! Mark, you were so nice to us outside! Can’t wait!
Oh yeah!….Hope you come play in Vancouver, BC :)
I am so @ a loss for words…giddy with excitement!! Level 42 is coming to the US!!! PUH-LEEEEZE say you’ll come to Dallas (!!) or Austin. I grew up watching Austin City Limits and it seems like it would be a great place to perform (thanks for the suggestion Mikey!)
Tracy2: I thought I was the only one around that went to the concert in the West End. Would like to have seen Boon there…I remember Mark saying he was ill. That was my first time to see the band and it was so surreal. And it was FREE!! :) Anyway, they’ll definitely need a bigger venue this time!
YIPPEEE! Guys, can’t wait til July…no matter where! Love from Texas…
Looking forward to seeing you after a lifetime of listening! Please don’t skip the Charlotte, NC area!
Come to Canada mark ,well all would love to see ya!!
Last time I saw you,the only time, was at Massey hall I beleive 1986!!! .Toronto needs to see ya!!!
Don’t care where the concert(s) will be cause I’ll be wherever you are! with bells on!

I am planning a trip to Manchester for your October 3rd gig. My last serious L42 road trip was Florence in May 1987. Marriage and two daughters later, a concert in TORONTO this summer would be a rinascimento!
NEW YORK CITY< HERE I COME!!!! Getting my tickets today!!
Its gonna be a long 4 months!
aw’right! about 6 years ago i sent a request to
mgmt, finally!
I mentioned before that a great place to play in Nova Scotia would be the Halifax Metro Center, but it holds up to 10 000 people! I forgot about the Halifax Forum. The civic center will host 1700 while the multipurpose center can accommodate 1000. Just a nice amount of people.
Chicago needs a Level 42 show!!! New York is good but Chicago is where it’s at. You have a lot of fans here so CHICAGO, Chicago, Chicago!! Cheers!!!
That’s true we need to see level 42 concert in our home town Ohio state too
Hello Chicago fans.
Surfing the web I noticed some ticket sites that state The Congress Theatre in Chicago 10/19 as a venue date. Please beware….I think this is an error as Level42 is playing in a Eastbourne, UK that same nite. Bummer……
need some out west too … perferrably vancouver but will travel to seattle or LA :)
Not like this, not like this! I almost had an hearth attack when I saw The Congress Theatre in Chicago. That’s 20 min drive from my house! Let’s stay calm and keep hoping :)
Long Time Fan, hoping that Level 42 makes a stop in the Phoenix Arizona area. I’ll be first in line.
Florida is a great place in the summer, good beaches, Hooters Wings, etc….
I guess what I am saying is that St Pete or Tampa would be a great place (read: close) to hold a tour date.
Great news about y’all coming to the states
tess1972, YES! I will never forget the show at the West End. I literally raced from the airport and ran like a crazy woman to get there before the show started. It was awesome and an evening I will never forget!! Also saw them at Cowboy Stadium (which will soon be gone) when they opened for Madonna. I’ve got my tickets for the NYC show. Hopefully they will come to Texas. I’ll be there for sure!!!!! Hope to see you at a show.
Tracy2: Maybe you saw me there…I was wearing green & black…and if I wasn’t drooling over Mark in his black leather pants I was screaming my head off!! LOL I missed the Madonna show…I was fifteen with no income Haha! But I did hear about Mark in his white jeans. Can’t help it…he still gets to me! :) Contemplating NYC…it’s general admission, right…does that mean unreserved or standing?? Gotta make sure I can afford it, too. Still going to four gigs in October.
tess1972: I believe its standing room only which is fine with me because I probably wouldn’t be sitting anyways. We were probably next to each other at the West End in Dallas! I just couldn’t believe I was that close!! Are you going overseas to see them in October?
Do you guys think that there will be more tour dates? Or is this it, only two? I hate to buy and then find out that they were going to be closer to Atlanta?
i hope theres a couple out west … or i l be pissed off .. cant make it out that far … i may as well go to the UK then ..
coming to nyc in july – nokia theater! thanks mark. i’ve been listening to your music since high school (1982). You have been a major influence on my bass playing and level’s music has carried me through the years. last saw you in boston at the paradise as a young music student in ’85. met boon and asked if u guys were playing mr. pink – he said no (hee hee). cannot wait to bring my wife to see you guys this summer.
much love,
anthony m.
from what i’ve found, you can actually buy those Chicago Congress Theatre tickets now…..attractive place too. Check gamestub.com, events.excite.com, tickets.zvents.com, and events.nbcchicago.com .
Found on the 28th of July in Solana Beach, CALIFORNIA (S.B. is between L.A. and San Diego…. a cool and not-too-big place called the Belly Up Tavern….see bellyup.com. those go on sale this Friday, April 2nd….sounds awesome
The chance of more CA dates looks likely if they’re over there for that one…
sorry for my shoddy typing!
SAN DIEGO (SOLANP BEACH)
JULY 28, 2010
http://www.bellyup.com/show/detail/28862
As previously noted, on October 19th L42 are playing at The Congress Theatre in Eastbourne, UK NOT The Congress Theater in Chicago.
So far we have 3 General Admission venues confirmed with 2 of them being bars/clubs. I realize there’s probably some trepidation on the band’s part to playing in NA after so long, but in my opinion L42 are selling themselves short. If the likes of A-Ha, Seal and Crowded House for example can each sell out a 3,000 seat venue (Massey Hall) here in Toronto, don’t see why L42 couldn’t either (as they did in 1986).
STATESIDE!!!??? I CANNOT WAIT!!! I must be dreaming!!!???

Yes!!
If there is any chance at all that you guys could come out to Oregon or Washington for a gig that would be brilliant! I last saw you guys when I was 12 yrs old at Wembley Arena and then Hammersmith the next year, and my brother Steve Henty still lives in England and buys your guitars and see’s you live all the time. It would be great to see you after a full 20 years! :-D! Fingers crossed!

I can’t believe it! I don’t have to fly anywhere! Thanks for coming to L.A. guys! I’m thrilled!!!
Annapolis, MD Ram’s Head On Stage July 21:

Dang, this is awkward not having all the dates at once (I understand the reasons why). For the Ram’s Head you have to show photo ID and credit card to get in, so no re-selling tickets on the ‘off-chance’ a closer city is announced. Small venue, but I see the seats are selling rapidly.
I think they are still confirming the whole set of shows. I’m just thankful that this is finally happening!!
FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! …. !
Just purchased my tickets to the Los Angeles show! See ya in July!! :)
Lisa, did you get floor level? If so, was it General Admission? Assigned seats or standing/floor? How much $? Thanks! :-)
This is my first post on the website and I’m proud to say that I just confirmed GG row seats at the Philly show — “Good God!” Am I dreaming or did I just type that sentence?!
Looking forward to rocking the Keswick with the other 42 fans at the end of July!

Hi! I got floor level, general admission seating. The seats are indeed assigned. $41.50 per ticket. They just arrived in the mail today! So excited!!
Thanks Lisa. Yeah, I got mine too – Section 102, Row E, near the center – not bad!
I just bought two tickets for Friday July 30, 2010 in San Diego ! I live in San Francisco, so ROAD TRIP !!!!!
I am gonna see LEVEL 42 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got tix for NYC, L.A. and San Diego. It’s going to be a wonderful July. :-)
On a side note, does anyone else think the new “font” the band is using is a bit out of place? The gothic look is weird, and the last L in Level looks like a knife. Not really the right image for our funky groovesters. :-)
Anyway, hope to see you all at the shows.
Hi guys, please you have to come to Montreal
Me and my sister want to have the pleasure to see and hear you live in concert so bad
Until then take cares of yourself
