This was very special for me,as Level 42 is my favorite band! I met Mark King outside the Ritz, In 1987. I asked him what bass he used on the Midge Ure Track Living in the past .he closed his eyes put his fingers to his head to think, and said Status bass. seeing Mark play again was great! Those songs are such a part of my life.

An amazing show! I only knew a few songs going into the show, but you have made a fan for life! I am still in awe. I can’t wait to pick up all of your music and immerse myself into Level 42. Whenever I’m in a city where you are playing, I will be there!

Great show! Only drawback was that it needed to be a couple hours longer. Last time I saw you was in 1987 at Sullivan Stadium in Foxborough MA. Please don’t make me wait another 23 years to see your show again! And do come back to Boston. :-) Thanks for the fantastic evening’s entertainment.

Saw you at The Birchmere and then the next night at NYC. Totally different experience because of the venue, but equally as exciting and boy did we party! You guys have worked so hard to continue to bring us the music that has become the soundtrack to many of our lives and we can’t thank you enough. Enjoy the rest of your time here in the USA and safe travels.

This show was my first live Level 42 show after 25 years of fandom – and wow was it worth the wait! I cannot believe you played Kansas City Milkman – that’s long been one of my favorite tunes. Thanks so very much for a phenomenal experience, and PLEASE don’t wait another 20 years to come back! I only regret that I can’t make it to any other shows. I’m still heady from singing along with Starchild – what a rush!

PS – Next time please consider playing stuff off of the more recent albums! I would have given a pretty penny to hear something off of Retroglide or Forever Now… extended jam off of The Sunbed Song? Yes, please! Live version of Rooted, or, dare I dream, Retroglide? Don’t mind if I do! :)

42 Celsius was officially recorded in Times Square, NYC on July 23rd. Level 42 was red hot!
Driving 650 KM from Canada and waiting in the sweltering heat in line for the show was nothing compared to what I re-lived Friday night in New York City.
Thanks L42 for bringing back many great memories of the 80′s. Your musicianship is outstanding.
Merci beaucoup Mark, Mike et toute l’équipe. À très bientot.
PS: Le Canada est juste un peu au Nord la prochaine fois!

After a 25-year wait, I could not have asked for a better concert. You guys were amazing and I’m still pumped 3 days later. Thanks for 30 years of amazing music, for coming back to America, and for taking the time to meet with us after the show. These memories will last and last…

    Cheers,

another fan who has waited a long time for you to come back to America…what an amazing show, I wish you could have played all night there were so many songs I wanted to hear…I hope the tour is as successful as it appears to be financially so that you repeat the American leg at least next year! I sang along to every song I still know every word!!

    Thanks for a brilliant show!

What a great time! A simply wonderful performance. The band was exceptionally tight–especially Pete Ray Biggin who more than “kept up” with the juggernaut Mark King, forming an incredibly dynamic, and driving foundation over which was laid lovely vocal harmonies, very tasty sax and guitar accents and the marvelous atmospheric key boards (and vocals) of Mike Lindup. Mark King was in magnificent form–with a great (fun) stage presence and even greater musicianship.

I also think the songs, many of which I heard for the first time Friday night are well done–I am downloading a bunch via iTunes right now! I would love to see these guys again and hope they continue to record!

Hard to typecast or stereotype this band who play what can only be described as fusion-funk-metal funk?-pop, tinged with a hint of jazz and disco dance music (the good stuff). Maybe that is what makes them so enjoyable. Too elusive to describe; just great to listen to.

I could easily have stood there and experienced the entire set all over again!

I got to see you guys in 87 and this time I bought my wife who is not a fan but LOVED the concert! Thanks for making my date night with my wife a great one! Mark and Mike thanks for taking pictures with me before the show. We can’t wait to see you next year!!!!!!Come back to the states soon!!!!

I, too, saw the boys in 1987 – 4 times. Bay Street in Sag Harbor, NY, Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT, the Ritz in NYC (got backstage and have an autographed ticket stub to prove it!) and saw them open up for Steve Winwood at MSG.

The Nokia Theater show was really great! I was hoping to hear a few deeper cuts, but beggars can’t be choosers, and Dream Crazy was a really nice surprise! Also, it was so great to see Mark and Mike together after seeing Mark with a totally different bunch of guys over the years. Well done. Come back soon!

Saw the show in NYC. One more who had been waiting 23 years. Better than I had even remembered. Interesting to see how many of us are still on a high from the show. I’ll be carrying that energy with me for a long time- hopefully it won’t have to carry me for another 23 years. Simply awesome!!
