INCREDIBLE …
They are brand-new and classic.
I listen to it all day everyday. :)
Important: in a sad repeat of what happened in the initial pressing of the 3-CD set “The Ultimate Collection II”, five of the songs in “Disc One” of “Level 42-Living It Up” have accidentally been rendered in a mono sound derived from one channel only of a stereo mix. The affected tracks are Disc One, tracks 1,2,7,8 & 9.
Please keep us informed on how we can get corrected discs. Apparently, Universal Music does listen to(or even make) test pressings.
In the previous post, I meant to say “”Apparently, Universal Music doesn’t listen to(or even make) test pressings.”
until i hear its been corrected i wont be ordering it .. its a shame because i ve heard good things about the acoustic tracks … will order when its corrected :)
I alerted Amazon.co.uk and they have stopped selling the sets with the faulty discs(though 3rd party “Marketplace” sellers continue to sell it through Amazon.co.uk).
When Amazon.co.uk themselves resume selling the sets, it will denote that they have the corrected edition. They were grateful that I alerted them. without my asking, they refunded my purchase price, and to spare me the expense of shipping it back to the UK(I’m in the U.S.A.), they told me to keep the faulty set.
Elsewhere in my collection, I have 4 of the 5 affected tracks with the correct(stereo) sound, and I just ordered “Level Best” through Amazon’s U.S.A. website(to get the single edit of “The Chinese Way”). Then, with stereo versions of all five songs, I’ll be able to create my own homemade corrected “Disc One”, while I wait for Universal Music to create their own corrected disc.
I’m sure that within a month, you’ll be able to buy a corrected “Living It Up” box. My advice: be patient and wait until Amazon.co.uk resumes selling the set.
ya will but i had wanted to order it on the site here instead of on amazon … hopefully it gets all sorted out ..
Unfortunately, a few days after Amazon.co.uk did the correct thing and withdrew the faulty sets, they changed their minds and resumed selling them.(sigh)
it is fantastic!! disc 3 has so much on it – The Untitled 1990 I just keep repeating. And the acoustic is out of this world! GET IT!!!!
I love -The Untitled 1990-, too.
It is so excellent…
