Mark King to Open and Perform at London Bass Guitar Show 2011

London Bass Guitar Show organisers are pleased to confirm that the celebrated Level 42 bassist and front man, Mark King, will be formally opening the 2011 show held at London Olympia this March.

“We are delighted that Mark is to open this great new show and also compliment such by playing a 40 minute main stage performance on the Saturday of the two day event. His live set will also be accompanied by Level 42 drummer, Pete Biggin,” confirms Neil Golding, Head of Sales for Oyster House Media.

The show’s roster of live acts is building steadily, with artists such as TM Stevens (The Pretenders/James Brown/Steve Vai), Jonas Hellborg, plus Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake/Thin Lizzy/Ted Nugent) and Jamie Cullum’s bassist, Geoff Gascoyne confirmed thus far and further acts to be announced shortly.

Ah thats awsome. Sounds like it’ll b a wicked gig. But seriously, I would have expected no less, who else would be worthy of opening such an event if not the worlds best bass guitar player?
Mark and Pete, you’ll have a blast :-)
    Lots a love

Great, really looking forward to it BUT how on earth do I get tickets for the gig? On the Bass Show website it says to purchase tickets for entry to the Show, fair enough, then to contact the artist’s main sponsor for 1 of the 450 tickets to the gig within. I have contacted Ashdown, who say they are not responsible, and Oyster, the Show’s sponsors, haven’t replied to me. I need 2 tickets for the Saturday, any suggestions? It would be a great shame if I got into the Show but not see Mark and Pete.
    All the best guys

    Hello!

In reply to your ticket questions, please buy your tickets from http://www.londonbassguitarshow.com for the day/s you wish to attend.

To get tickets for the performances these are first come first serve and can only be collected once inside the show venue. Details of where these can be collected will be on the website before the show.

I hope this has been helpful.
