Having taken the 1980s by storm, pop-rockers Level 42 are back for another UK tour in Autumn 2012.
Fusing elements of pop, jazz and funk, Mark King’s ’80s legends are best known for catchy chart-topping tunes like ‘Running In The Family’, ‘Lessons In Love’ and ‘Something About You’.
Leading UK ‘funksters’ and soul acts that changed the face of the street scene in Britain, Level 42’s funk influenced riffs became synonymous with the 80s as much a part of the decade’s culture as shoulder pads and the rubiks cube.
Level 42′s success in record and ticket sales, chart positions and awards is only half the story. The band have left a lasting legacy amongst a generation. Reformed and back on the live stage, Level 42 have announced a huge UK tour for October 2012.

Hi all,
What a very special night we had at the studio last night. It was great to meet all of the band members afterwards, who were very patient with us all bombarding them with questions etc. We felt very privileged to be there. Met some lovely fans too.
Well Mark, you asked me if I had enjoyed the show? My answer was – are you kidding? I’m buzzing baby! I will be for a long time. You guys are first class, unique, very talented, simply the best.
Thank you all, have a GREAT CHRISTMAS. See you at the Royal Albert Hall.

Hi Sammy…
(I was referring to Level 42 being Bizzy Bees, though..) ;D
Amazing schedule they keep given worldwide fans wanting them EVERYWHERE. It’s GOTTA be exhausting all that travelling required in between gigs just to play a set of songs here, then again over there.
But heck, I wouldn’t mind seeing them again here in Southern California – come back to The Grove in Anaheim, you guys! Wish I could move to England just so I could see them whenever I wanted! ha!
Lol! Hi Ardent42, ahhh, I thought you meant us hehe! Completely agree hun, they don’t let up at all, how the hell they make each gig better than the last when they are touring constantly completely baffles me, they have so much energy and make each gig totally unique, they are unlike any other band in the world. Total respect for you hun, we have been so lucky to see them so often in the UK, I thank my lucky stars nightly and wish everyone around the globe was so lucky.
Paul, Chris & Keith, can’t wait to see you at the Bristol gig…and whats this about standing – who stands still at a Level 42 concert?! Can’t wait for it & having met you peeps on Saturday I know I will be DANCING (standing is forbidden) with the best fans in the world :)
I am already itching to see them again after Saturday, it was THE MOST FANTASTIC night of my life to date, and I can’t see anything ever topping it!
Mark, Mike, Nathan, Sean & Pete you are all angels and I am blessed to have met you all again. Wish me & Karen could have bypast the lovely Paul to say bye properly, but alas, it was worth it just to wave a last farewell at the end of the night!
Took today off of work to do xmas present wrapping, but so far dancing around the room to L42 tracks is all I have accomplished..!
Sending tons of love to all LevelHeads around the globe, and to the best band in the universe.

Gonna be an amazin night at Colston Hall and on Mark’s birthday too, we should sing Happy Birthday to him guys!! See you there Level Heads one and all :-) xx
Ooooo I Like that term, Sammy – “LevelLady”… gonna refer to myself as that from now on to be known as a Female Level 42 Fan – Perfect! :D Hummm… can’t decide… Should I tag myself “LevelLady42″ OR “LevelLady64″ (birth year)? .. humm… maybe even “LevelQueen4MarkKing”! hee!
Lol, ah thanks @ardentardent42!! You are a true LevelLady my friend! I think both sound great, 42 sounds best of course though :-)
And yay Jan, your absolutely right hun, Bristol has bagged the best night as its Marks birthday whoop whoop!!

How come there aren’t any yorkshire dates??
How about a tour to New Zealand???? :)
Such a shame that these gigs are sitting down again. I may be 40 but I can still stand up for 2 hours! Whenever I put Level 42 on at home I don’t sit in my armchair smoking a pipe with my slippers on…. I am dancing around the kitchen with a bottle of wine! Sorry but I wont be going to see 42 until I can stand up and jump around like we all did in the 80s!
What?? Don’t let anything stop you from seeing L42 Gary!
Year before last I was dancing in the aisles because I just couldn’t sit any longer (after like half a song!). This year there are both standing and sitting places in Bristol, whoop whoop, take a guess at where I will be!!
So come to Bristol, you’ll feel well & truley at home! I can’t sit while listening to Level, it’s impossible, my body wont allow it!
Bring on October, yaaaaay!
Lots of Love
