At least now I know the next time I go clubbing (and am physically frogged marched into somewhere that plays dance, trance & all the kind of music isnt at the top of my play list..or anywhere near my playlist for that matter) there is a tune I will actually get excited about dancing to.
Not a fan of mash ups, dont like that kind of music at all (and dont get me started on ruining good songs!), but anything that reminds me of Level while im out & its unfortunately a friends night to pick the club, I can hold out some hope of hearing Level :-)
Ok, climbing down from my soap box & hoping that this track is played wherever I am dragged to on Saturday for my friends 30th!
Lots of love LevelHeads

What I want to know is how they get their hands on the multitrack tapes to do this. I could have so much fun if I could get these to play with…
I think, it wasn’t a good idea to make a remix version of this song.
and this was okayed officially ? i m not a huge fan of mashups either .. and this band has been rehashed enough IMHO !!
I think it’s excellent. Liebrand always comes up with something good, in my opinion. Probably wasn’t okay’ed officially, but DJ mashups are typically ok as long as they aren’t being sold.
Different strokes for different folks.
yep ..
Love it…very funky!!!
Level should be proud people are using there music for artistic use. But I admit, listening to the real thing is so much better. ;-)
if it brings L42s excellent munsic to another generation I am all for it. personally I prefer the original of anything….but this is good all the same.
It´s a great song with a great sound
This is NOT music.
There is so much stuff that I can’t open, so I haven’t heard this, but er is that a bad thing??!!
It is tripe.Much like the band in it’s current form.
Although I prefer the original, because, let’s face it, no-one can outshine our favourite group, I am hoping that in hearing this mash up out there in the clubs, will ignite the interest of the young people of today and enable them to discover the original work of Level 42 and bring them back to the surface, where they deserve to be. We need to raise awareness of this fantastic band which we are so fortunate to have around.
I wonder what the guys themselves think of it?
Love the metropolis – now looking forward to Royal Albert Hall in October.
Hear hear LevelHeads! Nicely said by all!

Hear hear LevelHeads! Nicely said by all!
What? You like it? Or not?
@mastitiswarrior if ur addressing me personally, I covered that in my first post. Of that kind of music, its a good track, because I love the original, so if I was to listen to any mash up & I had a choice, that would b it. But I dont like mash ups so if iv got a proper choice il stick to the original. And in my last post I said “hear hear” in reference to the diplomatic & honest way the LevelHeads posted their thoughts on the track. If your not addressing me personally, apologies to all LevelHeads for yet another post from me
:-)

did anybody else hear this playing in the bistro/bar on coronation street last week? or was it just me ? anyhow if it can get 42 back in the charts it has to be a good thing.
Not if it’s rubbish like this.
The good old days have gone forever – the band are now a sad parody of themselves. The creativity ran out back in ’94…
mastitis warrior. ’87 if you want to be really fussy…
Oh, a ‘real’ fan! I’d say 85 actually…
On behalf of myself and the other fans of Level 42,who enjoy sharing their views and news about this fantastic group on this site, I suggest that anyone who is offended by the continuing success and popularity of Level 42 use their power of choice and feel free to use the off button on their music system.
How I agree Wendy, I don’t like mashed versions very much I would much rather hear the original because they are always the best. And really if they are still playing the same stuff and I didn’t like it I wouldn’t bother with them, but I do still like them and ALL of the original stuff so I will keep listening and keep going to gigs….. AND LOVING EVERY BLOODY MINUTE!! :-))
Good for you Jan, it is so good to hear from positive people. Go girl – see you there!!!
