The music extravaganza raised vital funds for the youth charity’s work with disadvantaged young people. PureSolo Co-Founder and renowned trumpeter, John Thirkell, was playing at the event and got some behind the scenes footage of the sound check. Among this years performers were Pete Townshend, Kenney Jones, Joss Stone, Julian Lennon, Cerys Matthews, Boy George, Level 42′s Mark King, Midge Ure, Alison Moyet, The Feeling, YolanDa Brown and the wonderful musical comic Tim Minchin.

I was there and it was a great night also for Level 42 Drummer Pete Ray Biggin who took centre stage.

Shame that Sky cut the footage to pieces again and never showed Heaven In My Hands in full.

Great talking to Mark and Pete After the gig and now looking forward to those Mark King & Friends gigs at Ronnie Scotts ;)
