2012 marks the 25th anniversary of Level 42′s double platinum selling hit album Running In The Family.
To celebrate this milestone, we have compiled a lavish boxset in conjunction with Mark King, containing 3CDs and a DVD. All remastered, the set includes the album, 12″ mixes, the recording of their renowned gig at Wembley Arena in 1987 and an album of acoustic re-interpretations 25 years on. It is completed by Fait Accompli on DVD for the very first time.

Lookin great, i want it!
Hmmm zaphod. :) Who will be the next? Marvin, Ford Prefect?
I just received the 3-CD + DVD set. Beautiful packaging, but I have to ask this question: Why an edited 60 minute version of the “Fait Accompli” video instead of the original 91 minute version. I once owned the 91 minute version on UK VHS-PAL, and I now have it on (Japanese subtitled) Japan NTSC Laserdisc.
This box set was probably the last chance to get the complete “Fait Accompli” program onto DVD, and provide a complete DVD replacement for our old VHS & Laserdisc editions. And the box set was a missed opportunity to offer the dub versions of “Lessons in Love” & “To Be With You Again” on CD. These are amongst the very few Polydor Level 42 recordings which are still vinyl-only.
The new re-recorded versions are excellent, and show that the songs are still good, even in new arrangements that take them out of their original funk and rock contexts.
And why a CD of the audio from the “Live at Wembley” video, rather than the DVD, or(better yet) a Blu-Ray disc, with better than CD/DVD audio & video.
