Gary Husband – New website up!

Gary has recently relaunched his website at www.garyhusband.com.

There you can find a pretty good Gallery (with Holdsworth and Level 42 never before published shots from the archives etc – plus a demo soundtrack from a good few years ago).

He’s also working hard on a new jazz/rock album, “Dirty & Beautiful” – a big new international project – (to be released in the form of two volumes on the Abstractlogix label) featuring a plethora of guest musicians including John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Jimmy Johnson, Steve Topping, Steve Price, Mark King, Jerry Goodman, Lawrence Cottle, Jan Hammer, Steve Hackett, Robin Trower, Livingstone Brown and others (with more to be announced!).

Volume 1 of the album is due for release mid November this year.

It is dedicated to Morgan Roussel who has ran the official site since the internet began.
The music comes from a track called ‘Hello John’ which was the title of an unused instrumental dating back to 1983.
Mark ressurected the track and sings the following lyrics; “Welcome to the website that Morgan has built for you you can find all about the band level 42 hello, hello, hello, hello hello, hello, hello, hello.”

Tell us about Pete Ray Biggin and how he got the gig on the new tour…

Well, Gary leaves big shoes to fill, but Pete Ray Biggin has been in training since 1992 when he joined us on-stage at a soundcheck in Leeds for the Guaranteed Tour. His parents brought him along at the age of 11 (him, not his parent’s!) and he got on Gary’s drums and let fly, so I kept his number and gave him a call as soon as he was needed, a mere eighteen years later… He is another cool dude!
