Looking at the latest pictures of the guys it does seem as though they all look a little tired. For sure, we are all getting older and that goes some way to the tired look but when I look at the latest picture of the new lineup of the band, Mark looks like he has checked out a little and Mike just looks gaunt - just really tired. Maybe its intentional - a "moody" shot for maketing and appeal??
Perhaps they are all working on some projects that are taking up a lot of energy and nerves, who knows. When you see them on stage everyone seems to be in the here and now but it has to be getting old after 30 years. Particulaly playing the same old - same old - stuff you wrote 10-20-30 years ago, talk about Groundhog Day.
But cudos for them keepng our dreams alive and heading out to Asia after 30 years. That takes up a whole lot of energy and $$$$$$ so that implies they are still invested in it all. Be it emotionaly or financialy. It will be sad when it's all over.
They have been along for the ride - 30 of my 43 years and I feel old!! so who can blame them for wanting to turn the light out if and when it ever happens. I have been involved with professional sports for 28 years and seeing my ass all over newsprint and TV is not great for the ego, particularly when people come up and tell me I look older than I did 20 years ago!!! Yeah, really, no s@&t Sherlock.
For me, it has been a great pleasure to have been around during the time of Level 42, they ain't dead yet I just hope they don't leave us all just yet.
As for Gary, I hope he comes back but I kinda thing he mght be done.
