Due to the fact that Gary is double booked, Mark's searching for a drummer to stand in for him.
Any thoughts?
I'd say Gavin Harrison or Mark Simpson.
Phil Gould is not an option I think, or maybe........

I'd second that, Simpo is excellent. Don't forget Miles Bould, he is another excellent drummer/percussionist. Working with Billy Ocean at the moment. I think he's worked with L42 in the past.
Yeah, I posted Miles Bould as an option as a comment to Mark's posting. He did the bongo's on FN
Miles Bould is a very nice guy, I met him once in Paris after a Dominic Miller gig with Mike Lindup. He's a very talented drummer and percussionnist.
But Phil Gould would be so cool
Frank Tonto, Richard Bailey, come to mind.
What about Billy Cobham?
Well Yes of course PG would be a great to have from a reunion point of view. But I'm not going there...
Regarding Miles though, He's not just a percussionist, Watching him at The Dee C Lee/Deep Mo gig recently, his drumming was awesome.
How much experience have you guy's had with this guy.
Craig "Clune" McClune He is a very good bass player and one hell of a creative drummer. Just ask David Gray what he thinks of him.
I think he would introduce a new level and maybe the chance for a new take on similar theme???
Controversial, maybe but check out some of his stuff and see if it might be a great play - from left field.
My vote would go to Martin Johnson.
He is an outstanding drummer who I see play locally from time to time when he is not off on projects for various artists around the world.
He can play absolutely anything and would fit in well. His style is effortless.
Not sure if many of you non-Essex based fans will know of him or have been fortunate enough to see him play but you would not be disappointed.
Apart from Martin it would have to be Phil Gould making a comeback. Maybe his close relationship with Mike could path the way for a reunion with Mark and a fresh start.
A definite "no" would be Billy Cobham - unless it was for amusement factor only - those of us at The Hague (Den Haag) still laugh about some of the stuff we heard and Mark counting Billy in. Made it an interesting night though "I think that went rather well !!!".
Only time will tell - or Mark.

"this next songs starts with 3 bar of 4 followed by 1 bar of 3" or something like that...
He meant Hot Water...
