This intimate performance will be a show highlight for any Level 42 fan! Collect your free ticket from the Bass Guitar Magazine stand on entry, the auditorium has a capacity of 450 – if you do not have one of these tickets you will be unable to enter the performance.

Mark King, Pete Biggin, Gary Husband and Sean Freeman will take to the stage at 3pm on Saturday 12th March. Doors open at 10am, with tickets being handed out on a first come first serve basis.

Gary Husband, formally the Level 42 drummer is known for his multi-instrumental playing with the drums and piano. On this occasion Gary will be performing on the piano. In addition to this Gary is a composer, arranger and producer – not only on his own projects and recordings but also on the invitation of many great musicians in the world such as Billy Cobham, Colin Towns, Jeff Beck, Gongzilla, Gary Moore, Level 42 and Mark King, Steve Topping, Maria Schneider, Jim Mullen, Randy Brecker, Andy Summers, Alan Skidmore, Chris Squire, Aydin Esen, Peter Erskine, Al Jarreau among many others.

Sean Freeman is a current member of Level 42. Sean joined the band in 2001, and participated in the recording of their most recent album, Retroglide. Freeman also makes vocal participations in some music of the band. Mark and Gary Husband wrote Alverstone Jam for Volume 1, based on a great funk duet between them. Mark plays wonderfully on the track Sulley (intended for the Volume 2 release, Spring 2011.) along with John McLaughlin and Gary Husband.

He’s also working hard on a new jazz/rock album, “Dirty & Beautiful” – a big new international project – (to be released in the form of two volumes on the Abstractlogix label) featuring a plethora of guest musicians including John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Jimmy Johnson, Steve Topping, Steve Price, Mark King, Jerry Goodman, Lawrence Cottle, Jan Hammer, Steve Hackett, Robin Trower, Livingstone Brown and others (with more to be announced!).

Volume 1 of the album is due for release mid November this year.
