Mark King from Level 42 promoting the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival 2012.
In 1990 Mark King asked me to come up to his Summerhouse Recording Studio in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight in England, to take photographs of Level 42 recording their “Guaranteed” Album. A great experience and I had the pleasure of watching guitarist Alan Holdsworth in action. Time to put the cameras down and watch a master.

An affectionate homage to the dude. It’s actually a song called Fashion Fever, but my kid asked “Why are you singing Justin Bieber…?” The original will be on the Running In The Family @ 25, Acoustic re-interpretations…. catchy title eh?, all coming soon from Universal Music.
LEVEL 42 frontman Mark King opened the new flagship Earl Mountbatten Hospice shop in Newport on 30th June 2012.
The modern premises provide almost 5,000 sq ft of retail space over two floors — twice the size of the old shops — and will slash running costs by around a third.
Ahoy mates, follow me on twitter, not that it’s very interesting but what are ya gonna do…….
See you all at the gig on Monday 4th.
May June the 4th be with you………..Ha!
The 14th Walking Festival has kicked off on the Isle of Wight. It included fire-walking and glass-walking in St. Thomas’ Square in Newport. It is always a crowd puller and this year Mark King from Level 42 has been taking part. He is the patron of children’s respite centre Beaulieu House in Newport.
Mark King pops into Topping in the Morning to officially announce the Garden Party. IWradios very own Glyn Taylor was also in to talk about the planning that was put in, and to talk about the very worthy cause the day is in aid of.
Woohoo! The band is going home to play the Isle of Wight Radio Jubilee Party on June 4th in the grounds of Northwood House at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in aid of Beaulieu House.
